Water Management Services for Irrigation Systems
PLMS is dedicated to lowering your utility bills through water management services geared specifically to commercial irrigation systems. Examples of some simple modifications for conservation would include:
- Use a different pressure regulator that will reduce “fogging” and leaking and increase system longevity
- Incorporate a rain sensor that will eliminate waters during and shortly after precipitation
- Use advanced head nozzles that allow more efficient water spray patterns and angles
- Replace old spray heads for more efficient watering
- Use soil moisture sensors and adjust the system timer accordingly
- Add a feature that measures actual rainfall, humidity and solar radiation to determine the actual amount of water per zone
- Use drip irrigation around the plant root zone to minimize water loss
- Use a water harvesting system, such as cisterns, to capture rainwater to be used later for watering plants, etc.
